(LSA) Legal Services Alabama Mission – to serve low-income people by providing civil legal aid and by promoting collaboration to find solutions to problems of poverty. Services include assistance with divorce, custody, child support, bankruptcy, wage garnishment, public benefits, evictions, foreclosure, domestic violence, community re-entry, veterans, and education. |
(MPD) Montgomery Police Department – Domestic Violence Bureau The Bureau provides comprehensive services to victims of crime in a qualified relationship. Services range from safety planning, order of protection assistance, stalking case analysis, research, investigation, preparation and/or prosecution. |
(JSL) Thomas Goode Jones School of Law – Family Violence Clinic In the Family Violence Clinic, students represent clients who are victims of domestic violence. Students provide advice and counsel to clients seeking to escape violent relationships and to protect children exposed to violence and coercion. Students represent clients in Circuit Court in Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery counties in seeking protection from abuse orders and help them build peaceful, safe lives. We work to empower clients to reclaim their inherent dignity and independence. |
